A Little Bit About Us

Five Points features twelve cabins of various sizes, spread out across a wooded hillside that slopes down to the lake. The cabins are on the lake side of about 40 acres of woods, giving a definite feeling of being way out in the country, yet only a mile from Central Avenue/Highway 7, the main street through town. The individual cabins are forty to fifty feet apart from one another, assuring privacy. They are all rustic style, all wood construction, but with modern conveniences. Any "roughing it" here is definitely "roughing it smoothly!"

Our cabins are one, two, and three bedroom size, fully furnished, and all feature full kitchens. One of our trademarks is our breakfast "fixins" ~ we stock the refrigerator with eggs and bacon, English muffins, pastries, milk, and orange juice, and provide both regular and decaf coffee for the coffeemaker. Breakfast items and supplies are replenished day to day as you let us know you need them. Our "fiixins" have proven very popular, and previous visitors often comment how much they enjoyed that unusual feature.

In addition to the cabins, we have a large lakeside deck and gazebo, a lake swimming area, boat launching ramp, and free boat slips for our guests. Fishing, swimming, boating, and more water activities are just a short distance from your cabin. There's about a mile of quiet, little-traveled road on our property (a good place to walk or jog in the summer), and in cooler weather you can stroll through the woods or walk along the exposed lakebed when the lake is lowered in the winter (from early November until early March every year).

Relax and enjoy the view and a gentle lake breeze from our lakeside deck and gazebo...

Besides offering great accommodations and lake activities, Five Points is an ideal base from which to see, do and enjoy all the activities that make Hot Springs one of the premier tourist destinations in this part of the country. Just one mile away is Central Avenue/Highway 7, with a Walmart Supercenter right there, along with several shops, stores, and restaurants nearby. Oaklawn Racetrack & Casino, featuring live thoroughbred horse racing from December to early May, and Vegas-style full casino action year around, is just 3 miles away. The Downtown Historic District, Hot Springs National Park, and world-famous Bathhouse Row is just 5 miles from your cabin. And Garvan Woodland Gardens, with the beautiful Anthony Chapel and over 200 acres of gardens, trails, and woods to explore; and Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme park/water park are each about 8 miles away; as is Northwoods Trail, a challenging mountain biking area. And don't forget the Off-Road Park, with trails to challenge anything from basic Jeeps to custom rock crawlers. Its only about 10 miles away.

There's so much more to see and do in and around Hot Springs: crystal mining, hiking, biking, zip-lining, golfing, sightseeing, museums, historical sites, and no less than three state parks within a half hour's drive. And speaking of historical sites, Hot Springs is known as the "birthplace" of Major League Baseball Spring Training! From the 1880s well into the 20th century, over 135 Hall of Fame members honed their skills in spring training games in and around the Hot Springs area. There's a map available that will lead you to markers around the area commemorating that exciting era of Hot Springs history. One even marks where Babe Ruth hit a record-distance home run.

And it's all easily accessible from your cabin here at Five Points. When you stay with us, you'll become part of a piece of Hot Springs history, and you'll enjoy a level of hospitality, service and just plain friendship that was common in a bygone era but is rare today. And when your vacation is over, you'll leave rested, relaxed, renewed, and refreshed, and you'll already be looking forward to your next visit! And so will we!
